People often relate karma to something negative or a punishment. Often a negative perception.
Karma like all dualities have to two perspectives. Like a glass half filled with water can be perceived as half filled or half empty.
Karma simply means cause and effect.
Every existence results from karma, including you.
The karma that was imprinted on your spiritual state has brought you back again. The physical body, intellect, your parents, siblings, family members and the place where you were born were all results of the accumulation of your past karma.
The common question arises, “What is my karma? Why is my life this way?”
People want to know…
People eagerly want to know their past life’s karma so that they could quickly resolve them and turn their lives around for good. So they went around looking for fortune tellers or psychics for the answers. Many have come to me and asked about their past lives’ karma.
But I could not reveal them all. Simply because of the inner workings of the nature, life is in such a way that it needs to be experienced, thus the rebirth. Hence, it cannot be told completely. You simply have to live your life to uncover the lessons.
However, subtle guidance can be given to help one to uncover those lessons. But self intervention towards spirituality is still needed in order to deal with the lessons.
It won’t do you good or make your life better by telling you your past life. Here’s why…
First, always remember that it is because you need to experience this life, hence you were reborn in this human body again.
It is sometimes pointless to even tell someone about their past lives’ karma. Because all that were accumulated from the past has already manifested during the birth. The accumulation has already shaped everything before you became who you are right now. Your looks, your intellect, your birth parents and birth place were the total accumulation of your past karma. There was no mistakes and it was not random.
You will not be able to truly learn the lessons even if the complete stories of your past were told. To truly learn something, it is about an experience. Or else it would only be an intellectual thing. And it is not truly knowing if it still stays at an intellectual level.
For example, do you really know how the space looks like, smells like, or feels like? You could imagine by looking at some videos or photos of the space. But it was not in your real experience. It stays only at an intellectual level.
If a person have not tasted salt in his life, you won’t be able to describe the taste by words. It is only at an intellectual level.
This was a story of a talented psychic in Southern Thailand.
This psychic attends to around 10 clients a day, and through his psychic ability he told his clients about their past lives and even gave remedies to their current lives’ problems. Most of his remedies were excellent advice, but many of them also came back to him later and told him that their lives didn’t turn out better after heeding his advice and his predictions about their future weren’t that accurate. So, years went on and still many of his clients did not have a better life…

One man has accumulated a lot of merits in the past, he can’t be poor in this life, but why did he suffer so much financially for the past many years?

Life is to be experienced, every rebirth will create new karmas even though there was a seed from the past. That seed will shape according to one’s choices and thoughts in the current life towards an ultimate completion.
The first man who has accumulated a lot of merits was filled with confidence and ego after you told him about his past, you have given him an assurance that he won’t be poor in this life and thus he went on splurging all his monies into pleasures and materials. He borrowed more money from others to fulfill his desires, thinking he won’t become financially poor.
He was not poor; he had everything he wanted in life, so you were actually right. But he was not contented with his already good life. His ego has driven him to greed more pleasures and materials. And your remedies only acted at his intellectual level. He was not truly compassionate about helping others in this life. It was only a “transactional deal” that he helped.
The second man whom you told is destined to be poor in this life. Upon believing your words, he started accumulating good merits for 2 years. His true compassion flowered within him because he has tasted bitterness in his experience. He simply gives and share his happiness with others, and would not take any animal’s life as food. He wasn’t just sympathizing with others, he was totally empathizing as if the pains were his, and real transcendence took place in him. Abundance of joy was the effects of the cause.
