Master Patana’s Teachings
Yes, do the morally right things but don’t try to be a perfect being. You cannot be perfect when you push too hard.
The moment you try to be the perfect person, the cleverest one amongst your peers, you have unconsciously humiliate and condemn all of them. That humiliation simply reflects the imperfection and borderline intelligence of a perfectionist.
It is a psychological, mental problem in the mind of a perfectionist. It is simply stupid to seek perfection. Because it is impossible, what are you trying to perfect to?
You could do something best suited for the particular moment, but how do you perfect it? You won’t be able to perfect it.
The only perfected person is one who is awakened and enlightened. One who is enlightened seeks no more perfection because himself is perfected, but the result of perfection was not through the seeking of perfection for the enlightened ones.
