Beware of Mishap

The virus has stopped the world and Thailand. Aggressive protests surprisingly worse, nowadays there are many people who have the ability to consider and judge everything, everyone but themselves. Is this fair to those who want to live a normal life to be aware of both viruses watch out for weapons like that? There’s nothing that’s as easy to change as yourself on this planet. The principles and methods that are real are inherited from the time of Lord Buddha cascaded to teachers included Master Acharavadee Wongsakon, who was a great respect for the disciples. If the teachings are implemented, no turmoil will happen, even if opinions are completely different. Practicing mindfulness to always be able to consider things correctly the dhamma is named Yonisomanasikara. This is the teachings of the Master to consider and follow for the goodness of life as follows: From the words of the Master ” Beware of Mishap” April 6, 2018.

Wrong understanding or false view is very dangerous to mankind. Once it is formed, our intention and followings actions will go wrong. Unwholesome is intentionally committed without knowing that it is wrong. As a result, doors to heaven or nibbana is closed.

According to Abhidammattha – Sangaha, the worst false view is Niyata-micchaditthi while others are common. Three types of Niyata-micchaditthi are:
1. Natthika-ditthi – Denial of effect. For example, after all beings pass away, there is nothing left. There is no rebirth. No effect from giving away (dana). No effect from good or bad actions.
2. Ahetu-ditthi – Denial of cause. Do not believe that all beings’ happiness or suffer has nothing to do with cause.
3. Akiriya-ditthi – Denial of any actions. It is a wrong understanding that any actions done will have no effect either positively or negatively.

Those who have Niyata-micchaditthi will certainly be born in hell. Buddha’s blessing cannot successfully rescue them though.
The cause of Micchaditthi, consists of Belief of story by word of mouth Ayonisomanasikara or non-critical consideration
The cause of false view seems immaterial but had severe impact to life.

A story of Trojan Horse is a real example of Ayonisomanasikara. Troy, a great ancient city, was collapsed simply due to the lack of careful consideration (Yonisomanasikara).

Trojan Horse in brief
After a fruitless 10-year siege, the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse, and hid Odysseus and a select force of men inside. The Greeks pretended to sail away. Odysseus’s plan called for one man to remain outside the horse; Sinon would act as though the Greeks had abandoned him, leaving the horse as a gift for the Trojans and this offering to the goddess Athena. This fooled the Trojans into pulling the horse into their city as a victory trophy. That night the Greek force crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army, which had sailed back under cover of night. The Greeks entered and destroyed the city of Troy, ending the war.

The great people of Troy had become a slave because they thought the huge wooden horse would bring luck to them. This is Ayonisomanasikara.

There is a rapid flood of information over social media. We can easily form false view if we lack of careful consideration. Common false view includes the disbelief in virtue (sila), cause-effect (karma), and gratitude. The delay of effect from karma misleads people to think that karma does not exist and disbelieve in cause-effect. Their strong and stable belief in good and gratitude to parents, teachers, nation, religion and monarchy has been shaken and decreasing. Cheating is everywhere. Negligence of considerate behaving to benefactors leads to ungratefulness, nitpicking the virtuous persons with bias.

It is similar to situation where I was destroyed with a nitpicking photo of monks acknowledging my respect by instantly ‘wai’ – paying respect back to me. Those monks are my vipassana students since their householder and get used to pay respect to teacher, forgetting their monkhood status.

Malicious persons intentionally use the photo to discredit and destroy me without mentioning goodness done for maintaining and dispersing Buddhism. Those who hear and believe the story without careful consideration would unfortunately commit a severe unwholesomeness.

The consequence of not having careful consideration is extremely severe. Be mindful of false view at all time. May all be saved from slavery due to lack of careful consideration.
“Consider, greatly consider” taught Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Phrommarangsi).”
Vipassana Master Acharavadee Wongsakon
Translator: Peeraphong Chearanai

When the above teachings are taken seriously, they are consistently implemented. Peace is inevitably in all sectors of society because everyone practice constantly consideration. It’s a consideration. Mischief destroys both Troy and mind, but can be prevented by great consideration. I worship the teachings with my head…
